Failed app: Map updates not free

I wrote years ago that "The app is good but switching future map updates from free to $14.99 is a bad way to treat your existing customers."

Its incredible that in light of Apple and Google Maps and larger data plans becoming more ubiquitous, Navigon would still dare to charge for map updates. Whats worse is the price is now $15.99, and it only gets you two years worth of updates.

Id like to use this app more as the interface is pretty but my data plan plus now-outdated maps make it useless.

Do not buy unless you like throwing away money.
